Earlier this year Lucy Pinder was the star of an epic advertising campaign by Lynx. Featuring some gorgeous photos and a large collection of videos arranged as online games, the campaign was very popular and a roaring success.
Until some bigoted, prejudiced idiots decided to make spurious complaints to the ASA about it. Whereupon, despite there being only 10 complaints out of millions of viewers, and despite the complaints being patently ridiculous, the ASA lost all semblance of common sense, and instead of telling the complainers to get a grip, imposed a ban on Lucy Pinder's Lynx adverts.
If, as the complainers allege, the adverts really were "offensive and degrading to women", Lucy Pinder would not have made them. What genuinely is offensive and degrading to women is the complainers' contention that the sight of a female body is so horrific and mentally scarring that it should be banned.
But Lucy's Lynx material is still available, having been preserved by her admirers :)
